What is the Mercedes-Benz Warranty?

Woman signing a car insurance policy, the agent is holding the document

When Toronto drivers purchase a new Mercedes-Benz, they’ll enjoy 4 years/80,000 km Mercedes-Benz warranty. They’ll also have the option to increase the length of that coverage by adding on a Mercedes-Benz extended warranty. Used car shoppers should also know about the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-owned warranty, which is added on when you purchase a CPO Mercedes-Benz model. Those who lease should explore First Class Lease Protection.

Read on for a close look at what each of these warranties offer, and to learn more about the Mercedes-Benz extended warranty cost. If you have any unanswered questions, reach out to the Mercedes-Benz Durham service centre, or consult our Mercedes-Benz information guides.

Mercedes-Benz New Vehicle Limited Warranty Details

To refrain, when Oshawa drivers buy a new Mercedes-Benz, they’ll enjoy 4 years /80,000 km of coverage, whichever comes first. Coverage protects your powertrain, any corrosion, and includes roadside assistance. To be clear, though, these are not covered:

  • Brake pads
  • Wheel alignment and balancing
  • Glass
  • Wiper blades and inserts
  • Batteries for remote controls (including the keyless EASY ENTRY® system)

Mercedes-Benz Extended Warranty

Markham drivers can opt for the Mercedes-Benz extended warranty and add 1,2, or 3 years or up to 160,000 km of coverage on to their original manufacturer warranty. Additional perks include:

  • Slower depreciation.
  • Increased value of your vehicle if you choose to sell because they’re transferable
  • No deductibles.
  • Refundable if you cancel while your original warranty is still good
  • The Mercedes-Benz extended warranty cost partially covers itself by slowing your vehicle depreciation

First Class Lease Protection

If you lease your Mercedes-Benz, you’ll have three warranty options for all new, demo, and certified pre-owned vehicles. These include:

  • First Class Lease Protection Lite: Enjoy the confidence that $1,500 of single-incidence coverage brings. You’ll also benefit from a $3,500 waiver for excess wear and tear when your contract is up. The Lite package does not include coverage for damages to the tires, your windshield, wheels, or for missing parts.
  • First Class Lease Protection: This package is exactly like Protection Lite, but it covers everything, including damages to tires, wheels, your windshield, and for missing parts.
  • First Class Lease Protection Premium: Available for new, demo, and CPO Mercedes-Benz vehicles, except for smart and B-class vehicles, the Premium package extends your coverage to $7,500 for excess wear and tear. Single incidence coverage is $1,500.

Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned Warranty

The Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-owned warranty is good for 2 years or up to 120,000 km of protection. Furthermore, many CPO vehicles still fall under a portion of their original manufacturer warranty, so you can use your CPO warranty as an extension—it does kick into gear until the original is up.
